    Re: Donation Request

For more than 77 years, the Community House has been the cornerstone social service agency in West Haven providing programs and services that inspire and promote healthy, productive, independent and meaningful living for children and families and for adults with developmental disabilities.

The programs and services provided by the Community House include:

Head Start: Comprehensive school readiness program for children of income eligible families.
Children & Youth Services: Before and after school program for school-aged children.
Community Connections: Residential and Day programs for adults with intellectual disabilities.

We are seeking a raffle donation to be used at our upcoming fundraising event our 13th Annual “A Night at the Races”, an entertaining evening of video horseracing, raffles and prizes, to be held at the University of New Haven on Friday, May 24th.

With your generous support, along with more than 175 full and part-time employees and a 30-member Board of Directors, we are able to expand our current programs, improve our facilities and make a difference in the lives of so many individuals and families in our community. We hope you will consider supporting our popular event where more than 300 people attend each year.

If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me. Thank you in advance for your generosity.

Please feel free to view our website, for more information about our non-profit organization and the programs we provide. http://www.whcommunityhouse.org

I’d like to purchase a round of golf or two for a family member who lives in the area. Would you be able to accommodate this request?

  4. Michael says:

Please accept Apple Pay, you already have the equipment to do so, it would make it easier for customers to pay for their rounds!

To preface; I’ve been golfing for over 10 years and have played on courses such as Yale, Bating Hollow and TPC Puerto Rico. Clubhouse staff was extremely rude and unknowledgeable. They let five-somes play on a course that is already congested; as they let players out every 5-8 mins. When I finished 9 holes in 2.5 hours, I talked to the clubhouse manager about the five some, and he berated myself and my buddy, insulted my golf game and told us that if we didn’t like it “don’t play here again”. The staff is a joke to the game of golf, it’s rules and the patrons of the golf course. If I could rate the course a zero, I would.
